These Home Workout Apps Make Exercise A Breeze

Staying in shape has never been easy, but now it’s harder than ever. Gyms are closed, along with most public places, but that doesn’t mean that you have to roll over and let the pounds pack on. It’s 2020, and there are a ton of amazing home-workout apps that can help you keep healthy in isolation. No matter who you are, there’s a program out there that’s perfect for you.

Whether you’re a total beginner or a weathered gym rat, looking to stick to a budget or willing to break the bank, there’s a solution out there that’ll meet your needs perfectly. Plus, these home-workout apps don’t come with stinky equipment, intimidating dudes, or unflattering mirrors. Replace those things with your favorite TV show or podcast and the comforts of your own living room. Heck, even when we can all venture back out into the world, you might not even want to go back to the gym!

So, for anyone like me who has spent the last month slowly gaining the wrong kind of mass, here are some of the best options out there for getting off the couch and getting your sweat on.

Workout Apps Review

Daily Workouts Fitness Trainer

This is, hands down, one of the best free options out there. The Daily Workouts Fitness Trainer app has over 100 easy exercises that you can do without a single piece of equipment. Plus, the app has directed workout plans to help you achieve specific goals, or even randomized workouts for people who feel like mixing up their fitness routine.

Nike Training Club

It shouldn’t be a big surprise that one of the biggest companies in the world of sport has one heck of a home-workout app. Nike Training Club has over 185 different free workouts for you to choose from. On top of that, each of these has guidance from one of Nike’s Master Trainers. From yoga to strength-training and beyond, this app has something for everyone. However, you’re going to want the $15 per month subscription to get the most out of this one.

Peloton

For most of us, a Peloton is just a pipe-dream. Yet, for those who can fit it in the budget, there’s probably no better system for keeping in shape at home. Virtual spin classes on a Peloton bike are ridiculously addictive. Pretty soon, home-workouts will become something you want to do, not something you have to do. But, seeing as most of us don’t have thousands of dollars to throw around, there’s still the Peloton app. It offers an amazing variety of workouts, from cycling to yoga to running and more. Plus, a 90-day free trial never hurt anybody.

FitOn

If you miss taking classes at the gym, FitOn might be the next best thing. Picture Netflix, but for workout videos. FitOn has pilates, dance, yoga, HIIT classes, and more—plus, they add new videos every single day. For people who don’t love clicking around on their phones, FitOn has full visual and audio guides to keep you moving and motivated. And, the best part, most of their services are completely free!
