Investigations into Elisa's passing

2. The Somerton Man

The case of the Somerton Man, also referred to as the Tamam Shud Case, is about an unknown man found lifeless on an Australian beach in 1948. No matter how much they've investigated the case, who he was and how he died still remain a mystery, which makes it a classic unsolved case.

The "Tamam Shud" note

A tiny piece of paper with the words "Tamam Shud" (meaning "ended" in Persian) was found in the man's clothing. This strange clue, torn from a rare book, has led to many theories about his passing, ranging from suicide to espionage.

A strange autopsy

The autopsy didn't clearly show why he passed, but poison seems likely. Not having any identification and finding strange things like coded messages with him only made the whole thing more puzzling. Interestingly, he was dressed quite nicely, which was at odds with the weird situation of his passing.

The Somerton Man's identity

People have wondered if the Somerton Man might have been a secret agent, a heartbroken lover, or just someone who just wanted to disappear. Even after DNA testings and worldwide searches, we still don't know who he was or why he died.

A govenrment experiment gone wrong

One speculation proposes that the hikers might have fallen prey to a covert government trial. This viewpoint is backed up by findings of radioactive residue on their bodies and unusual light sightings in the sky during that period.
