Celebs Who've Admitted They've Gotten Plastic Surgery

People in Hollywood are expected to look perfect, so it's no surprise that so many celebrities go under the knife. Sometimes you can barely tell, and other times it's a little more obvious. Even today, plastic surgery is a taboo subject, and sometimes celebs spend years hiding the work they've had done. So let's take a minute and appreciate the stars who are brave enough to tell the truth!

Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen came clean about her plastic surgery in 2017: ”I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things. It's a big secret, but I don't care." After hiding it for so long, did she regret it? Not a chance: "It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I've ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly."

Cardi B

Everyone's favorite breakout star Cardi B has never been scared to show the world her true self, whatever that entails. She's admitted to getting her breasts done, and she even confessed that she's gotten butt injections... illegal butt injections. As she tells it, "In order to get lipo, where they put the fat transfer in your ass and it gets bigger, you need to have fat. I did not have no type of fat. But I was desperate to have a bigger [butt].”

Kourtney Kardashian

The oldest Kardashian sister has gotten a breast augmentation, but she's never tried to hide it from anyone: "I have had breast implants, but it's so funny 'cause it's not a secret, I could care less."

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner has admitted to getting lip filler, but the idea of more plastic surgery makes her nervous (at least for now). As the model and makeup super-star said on her app back in 2016, "I've only been under [anesthesia] once before, when I went to the dentist and I didn't react well; it really scared me." So it looks like it's just the lips for the time being, but she did also add, "never say never."

Lady Gaga

While on Howard Stern's show, the music icon confessed that she was "really obsessed with getting facial injections" for a time.

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Tori Spelling

The 90210 star has never tried to hide her nose job and breast implants, but apparently her daughter Stella was "shattered" when she found out that mommy's body wasn't all-natural.

Holly Madison

Everyone's favorite Playboy Bunny and long-time girlfriend of Hugh Hefner had her nose and breasts done back in 2009, but she said that would be it for a while: "Maybe when I'm getting older, but I'm done with it for now. I don't like when people inject a lot of stuff in their face because then their faces move all weird."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Kris Jenner

Anyone watching Keeping up with the Kardashians in 2011 obviously knows that the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch got a facelift before her daughter Kim's, err... storybook wedding to Kris Humphries.

Naya Rivera

The Glee star's book, Sorry Not Sorry is filled with juicy stories, like the one about her experience after getting a breast augmentation at 18: "As soon as I went back to school, [the boys] all practically fell over themselves rushing to see who could hold the door open for me." She's still loving them too: "People have a lot of opinions about plastic surgery, but more than 10 years after I got my boobs, they still make me happy when I look in the mirror."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Cher

With Cher, it's easier for her to say the plastic surgery she hasn't gotten. "I've had the same cheeks my entire life. No butt lifts. No ribs removed. If I want to put my tits on my back, it's nobody's business but my own."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Kelly Rowland

Back in the early Destiny's Child days, an 18-year-old Kelly Rowland wanted implants, but "[her] mom and Beyoncé's mom told [her] to really think about it first." She did just that—she thought about it for ten years, then she got them!

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Robin Wright

The House of Cards star wants to send a message: Not all Botox is a bad thing. "It's just the tiniest sprinkle of Botox twice a year. I think most women do ten units, but that freezes the face and you can't move it. This is just one unit, and it's just sprinkled here and there to take the edge off... Perhaps it's not wise to put that in a magazine? But I ain't hiding anything."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Linda Evangelista

Evangelista wasn't about to hide the fact that she got Botox injections, but not everyone was happy that she was so open about it: "I was the first person to ever admit that I did Botox, and my Mom was upset. I said, 'Mom everybody does it,' and she was like, 'Yeah but they don't say it.' So if I was the first one to tell the truth about using it then, why would I lie about it now?"

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Kelly Ripa

How did Kelly Ripa decide she should start getting Botox? Simple: "People kept saying 'Are you okay?' and I'm like, 'I'm fine, why?' 'You look like you're angry.' I was like, 'Then it's time to get Botox.'"

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda had an ingenious strategy to make it less obvious she got work done: She got a new haircut! "Bob Evans complimented me on my new, short haircut, and I said: 'Thanks. I just had some 'work' done on my chin and neck and had the bags taken away from under my eyes so I decided it would be good to get a new haircut so people will think it's my new hair.'"

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Brooke Shields

Brooke Shields has gotten some Botox in her life, but back in 2010, she revealed she was going to try to switch laser treatment for her wrinkles—though she was more than a little nervous about the idea: "I have to find someone with a light touch. I'm scared I'll end up looking like the Joker."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Anna Faris

Anna Faris must have really gotten into her role as a Playboy Bunny in The House Bunny, because filming the movie inspired her to get a breast augmentation not long after marrying her (now tragically ex-) husband Chris Pratt.

Courtney Love

Kurt Cobain's one-time-wife got a nose job, and she doesn't regret it for one second. As she told Jimmy Kimmel in 2014: "Yeah I got my nose fixed. In six months, the whole world changed."

Amanda Stanton

The star from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise wanted a breast augmentation for years, and she finally got one in 2018 after she had finished breastfeeding her second-born.

Tyra Banks

The modeling icon had work done early in her career, and she's not hiding it from anyone: "I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching. I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryWikimedia Commons

Stephanie March

The Law & Order: SVU actress got a breast augmentation in 2014 because she thought it would solve her problems, and she's regretted it ever since. She's called it "the wrong decision, for so many reasons...I decided to change my body because I couldn't change my life."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Christie Brinkley

When Christie Brinkley got work done, she said, "I wondered if people would think I’m phony and fake. But it’s better to be honest and say, 'Yeah, this is what I do.'" You nailed it Christie!

https://www.instagram.com/p/Brg0V9fATnH/

Ashley Tisdale

The Disney Channel star, singer, producer, businesswoman (take your pick) got a nose job in 2007, but she insists it was exclusively for health reasons: "I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose. I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsVw1KwHX_v/

Patricia Heaton

Heaton got work done in 2003 after having children. "It's better to be honest if you can. There is a lot in Hollywood that is not as it seems. I had four C-sections and my stomach looked like the map of the world. My breasts were hanging down to here from breastfeeding those babies, and my nipples were like platters. I wanted to fit into the gowns that I finally got to wear.”

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Lisa Kudrow

Did you know that Phoebe had gone under the knife? She got a nose job at 16, and she called the experience "life-altering." "I went from, in my mind, hideous, to not hideous. I did it the summer before going to a new high school. So there were plenty of people who wouldn’t know how hideous I looked before. That was a good, good, good change."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Gwyneth Paltrow

The GOOP guru and mother to Apple and Moses says that she's "probably tried everything," though she admits she "would be scared to go under the knife." She says experimenting like that is "what makes life interesting... finding the balance between cigarettes and tofu." The one thing she won't try again? Botox. "I looked crazy. I looked like Joan Rivers!"

https://www.instagram.com/p/Br-Kf7LBUgj/

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman has admitted to doing Botox, but in 2013 she said she'd given up the stuff...and was loving it! "I can finally move my face again."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea has the right idea when it comes to talking about her breast implants: "I love them so much I had to talk about them...I'd feel better not to have some secret. It's much freer to say it and then you don't have to worry someone will dig it up."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BWQOyyYHpCL/

Jessica Simpson

Back in 2006, Jessica Simpson confessed that she'd gotten lip injections, but had quit because she didn't like the way she looked with them: "I had that Restylane stuff. It looked fake to me. I didn't like that. But it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!"

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Dianna Agron

The one-time Glee star has had to nose jobs, but she's had a good reason both times—she got the first one after she broke her nose, then she got the second one when she broke her nose again!

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bhug8J2FOqe/

NeNe Leakes

Everyone's favorite Real Housewives of Atlanta star has had a nose job, liposuction, and breast implants with a lift. As she put it, "I still wanted to look like NeNe, the black woman that I am, but a better version."

https://www.instagram.com/p/Br-5Iy8n2kc/

Tara Reid

Unfortunately, the results of Reid's botched 2004 plastic surgery have been plastered all over just about over gossip mag out there—but she's never tried to hide anything: "My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing. I had a hernia, this huge bump next to my bellybutton. As a result, I couldn't wear a bikini. I lost a lot of work." Where were all those gossip mags when she got surgery again in 2006 to fix the results of her earlier procedures?

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Heidi Montag

Montag underwent an almost complete transformation when she was just 23, getting botox, chin reductions, a nose job, breast implants and fat injections in her lips. At first, she announced: "I love my body!" but by 2013, she'd gotten a breast reduction and admitted she regretted all the word she'd had done: "I definitely regret the surgeries that I have had over the years, I think I was so young and in such an unstable situation in my life with so much going on and so much pressure."

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bo2ODzblMBe/

Reid Ewing

You might know him as Haley's boyfriend Dylan on Modern Family, but did you know that Ewing has suffered from body dysmorphia and an addiction to plastic surgery for years? As a result, he's gotten chin implants, cheek implants, and "several more procedures."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco is not about hiding the fact she's had a nose job, breast augmentation, and fillers: "As much as you want to love your inner self, I’m sorry, you also want to look good. I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsKMepPB3RX/

Courteney Cox

There was a time when Monica had all kinds of work done, but she's been getting back to her original self: "I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Jamie Lee Curtis

Leave it to the Baroness Haden-Guess to drop a little bit of knowledge on us: "I've done it all. I've had a little plastic surgery. I've had a little lipo. I've had a little Botox. And you know what? None of it works. None of it."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsDvSmGnT6F/

Angelina Jolie

Jolie's remarkable Op-ed in the New York Times revealed that she'd decided to get a preventative double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. She tried to reduce the stigma around the procedure, writing "Nine weeks later, the final surgery is completed with the reconstruction of the breasts with an implant. There have been many advances in this procedure in the last few years, and the results can be beautiful."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsdoAbhg3u3/

Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian got fillers in her face, and she wasn't exactly happy with the results: "My face was so f***** I had to go and get this whole thing dissolved. It was a bummer and now I'm afraid to do it again. And I'm almost like, I swear things are still in my face."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsVkGIIAj7y/

Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson had never confirmed or denied the rumors that she'd gotten a nose job, but her dad pretty much outed her in an interview with Fox News: "Girls have their own ideas. Anyway, there was a real problem with her breathing and that was cured."

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Ariel Winter

The middle Dunphy child on Modern Family revealed to Glamour that she'd undergone breast reduction surgery to go from a 32F to a 34D.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BhZvf5dBlKQ/

Amanda Bynes

The one-time child star has been public with her multiple nose jobs to fix the "webbing" between her eyes, but she's even gone as far as to admit that she actually enjoys getting surgery and doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon. Just look at her tweet "I Plan On Having Surgery On My Whole Face Straight Up"—though that tweet has since been deleted, so who knows where she stands now.

Celebs Plastic SurgeryGetty Images

Farah Abraham

Since Teen Mom rocketed her to stardom, Abraham has gotten her nose done, chin implants, a breast augmentation...then another breast augmentation. I guess once you're on a roll, why stop?

https://www.instagram.com/p/BnrjtMVHlYk/

Jennifer Anniston

Anniston has called her nose job the "best thing [she] ever did." She had the work done to fix a deviated septum. After the procedure, she said, "I slept like a baby for the first time in years. As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it's still mine. All of it. Still mine."
