Her father is the wealthy Palestinian-American real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, who built his fortune in Middle Eastern automobile ventures and California real estate. On at least two separate occasions, photographers have sought legal action against the model for sharing photos of herself taken by the photographer without their copyrighted permission. Hadid has since removed the photo, but the company is still seeking demands related to profits lost from copyright infringement.
