2. Shame on the shamers

Pratt has become known for his ability to bulk and cut for various roles.

His role in Jurrassic Park 2 is no different. In fact, he has lost so much weight that people are saying he is too skinny. He eloquently responded to these allegations with an Instagram post in a way only Pratt can.

3. Secret stripper past

Le gasp! Chris Pratt used to work as a stripper, before his career took off, but he was apparently not very good.

7. Getting “discovered”

While living in Hawaii, Pratt waited on tables at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Maui, where he was discovered by one of Tommy Chong’s daughters and cast in his first role. Two years later, he was in his first big role in WB’s Everwood.

8. Meeting future wifey

Chris met his future wife, Anna Faris, while they were making Take Me Home Tonight. They two married in 2009 and have a son – Jack.

9. Re-discovering religion

Pratt describes himself as a non-denominational Christian and stated that his faith was redefined after his son Jack was born prematurely.

The scene in Guardians of the Galaxy, where Star-Lord drops the orb ­– Pratt actually dropped the orb by accident, but stayed in character. The director loved it so much he decided to include it in the movie.

14. Musical skills

When Chris was selling coupons out of his van he ended  being issued an insurance ticket he couldn't pay for.  This resulted in an warrant being issued for his arrest. This technically he was a real outlaw before he played one in Guardians of the Galaxy.

The actor lost and gained 70 pounds several times for different roles in the past five years.

18. Becoming a baseball pro

For his audition for the role of Scott Hatteburg in Moneyball, Pratt learned how to play baseball – including batting left handed (despite being right-handed). That’s dedication.

Apparently, director of  Gunn loved Pratt’s audition so much, that he was prepared to offer him the role without the weight loss. The actor chose to request six months to drop 50 pounds and ended up losing over 60!

In a scene on Parks and Rec, Amy Poehler’s character Leslie accidentally walks in on a naked Andy (Chris Pratt) – as a prank, Pratt ditched the nude undies he was supposed to sport and went bare pickle on set. So, the look of surprise on Poehler’s face is 100% genuine.
